Kitchen remodeling in Charleston, SC — handled end-to-end.

Full-service kitchen remodels by the same family-run team for 36+ years.

When you remodel a kitchen in Charleston, you're remodeling the room where your family actually lives. Holiday meals, homework, the hand-off from one day to the next — all of it happens here. For 36+ years we've designed and installed Charleston kitchens around how real families use them, not how they look in a magazine spread. We sell cabinets factory-direct from KCD, DL Cabinetry, and GHI, and install them with our own in-house crew. One team, one quote, one point of contact from the first measurement to the final walk-through.

How it works

  1. 1

    Free in-home consultation

We come to your house, measure the kitchen, photograph what's there, and talk through how your family cooks and entertains. No pitch, no pressure. Most consultations take about an hour.

  2. 2

    3D design and itemized quote

You get a 3D rendering within 7–10 business days plus a written quote with cabinets, countertops, and labor broken out separately. You see exactly what you're paying for.

  3. 3

    Order and schedule

Once you approve the design, we place the cabinet order factory-direct. Typical lead time is 2–4 weeks for KCD and DL, 4–6 weeks for GHI. When cabinets arrive, we lock your install date.

  4. 4

    Install and walk-through

Our own crew handles demo, install, and trim. A straight cabinet swap runs 3–5 days. A full remodel with countertops and tile runs 3–5 weeks. Lead installer walks the punch list before final payment.

FAQs

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Charleston?
Pricing varies widely. A cabinet-only swap in a standard-sized kitchen starts around $8,000–$15,000 installed. A mid-range remodel with new countertops, backsplash, and appliances typically runs $25,000–$60,000. High-end custom kitchens with specialty finishes can exceed $100,000. You get a written, itemized quote so you see exactly where your money goes.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Cabinet-only swaps take 3–5 days on site once cabinets arrive. Full remodels with countertops, tile, plumbing, and electrical typically take 3–5 weeks from first demo to final walk-through. Lead times on cabinets add 2–6 weeks depending on which brand you pick.
Do you handle permits?
We pull cabinetry and carpentry permits where Charleston County or the City of Charleston requires them. Plumbing and electrical permits are pulled by our licensed sub-trades. You don't chase city hall.
Can I keep my existing countertops?
Sometimes — it depends on cabinet box dimensions, seam locations, and whether your new layout changes the cabinet heights. We'll tell you honestly during the consultation whether it's a real option or false economy.
Which cabinet brand should I pick?
Depends on budget and style. KCD is our go-to for modern shaker and flat-panel at mid price points. DL Cabinetry offers the best value on all-plywood construction with dovetail drawers standard. GHI is our pick for classic styles and CARB2-compliant all-wood construction. Samples of all three in the showroom.
Do you do historic downtown Charleston kitchens?
Yes. We've remodeled kitchens in South of Broad, Harleston Village, and Radcliffeborough. Historic homes come with their own quirks — out-of-square walls, narrow stairwells for cabinet delivery, and BAR review for exterior changes. Interior cabinetry typically doesn't need BAR approval, but we flag anything that might.
